Train Depot

Post card view of the old Southern Railway station depot, at the end of West Washington Street. The post card is not dated. When President Franklin Roosevelt died in 1945, his body was transported to Washington DC, from Georgia. The train carrying his body stopped here on its way to DC.

Demolished years ago.
