Welcome to Reedy River Historic Park
Named for the "reeds" that grew along its banks, the Reedy River flows from Travelers Rest, SC, southward for almost sixty miles toward Conestee, SC, before joining the Saluda River at Lake Greenwood.

The money was used to create one of Greenville's most attractive tourist sights in the 1930s. The arboretum was neglected during World War II, and fell into decay but it's back in a big way today! There are two amphitheaters in the park to host the Upstate Shakespeare Festival and other entertainment during special events such as Artisphere. Weddings, photography sessions and picnics are always going on in the park and at the River Lodge shelter. The gardens themselves are designed for three seasons of blooming flowers, making this a very busy park in downtown Greenville, right on Main Street. You're welcome to email your questions or comments about the park and your experience.
The Greater Greenville Master Gardeners invite you to their eighth annual gardening symposium to be held February 7, 2009, at the Carolina First Center on N. Pleasantburg Drive in Greenville, S.C. The day is divided into five sessions. Participants will hear three speakers in the morning and can choose between concurrent speakers for the initial after-lunch session. We are pleased to present a variety of vendors offering information and an array of practical as well as decorative items for your home and garden. Included will be: plants, books, wildlife feeders, garden art, and much more! Learn more about Greenville's Master Gardeners and the upcoming Symposium Photos: © 2008 greenvillesouth.com --gs
