A November 12, 1938 Sirrine Stadium football program for the Carolina vs. Furman game carries a Pete's advertisement that says simply, "You Are Always Welcome At PETE'S No.1, 14 Pendleton Street."

The advertising holds true today, sixty-eight years later. Carolina vs. Furman, 1938. Look Ma, no facemask!
